Need suggestions on how to cut discs to diameter on mill

Jun 13, 2020So I have a project where I'm trying to use a disc bearing assembly to make some other parts. These are worn tillage discs, so higher grade wear steel, I don't know the spec but they don't drill or mill easy at all. They are about 15 diameter and 1/8 thick, with a 5/8 bearing. I'm trying to turn them down to 12 diameter, need to do 18 of them.

SKIOLD Disc mills are suitable for grinding of many different types of raw materials, including pellets with a diameter of up to 12 mm. One of the advantages of the SKIOLD Disc mill is that its possible to vary the grinding degree during operation, and thereby optimize the feed structure for different animal groups.

Disk Mills are suitable for fine grinding of medium particle sizes of soft to hard, brittle and temperature-sensitive solids. The material to be ground is comminuted by pressure and shearing action between two counteracting grinding disks with coarse interlocking teeth.

Jun 25, 2020As mentioned previously - the end mill in the photo is FOR VISUALIZATION PURPOSES ONLY!!! It's not even finger tight in that photo. Also, I know how to run an OA torch. The issue is that in cutting it to diameter you are putting heat into a thin disc, which is restrained by the as yet uncut rim. That heat bells it upward.

The Vibratory Disc Mill RS 300 is suitable for the extremely quick, loss-free and reproducible grinding of medium-hard, brittle and fibrous materials to analytical fineness. It is possible to process 1, 2, 3 or 4 samples simultaneously. Thanks to the robust universal drive shaft, which sets the grinding jar into a 3-D motion, this mill accepts

Fluid Quip's Disc Mills are designed for optimum performance. Our engineers focused on durability, structural stability and solidifying tram control to minimize vibration, reduce wear and maintenance costs. The result is one of the finest wet corn disc mills in the world today. We have three different models of our single disc mills: 124, 136

They attach to disc sanders, angle grinders, or handheld rotary tools, and they allow for good control of a workpiece, as workers can see the workpiece at all times when sanding discs are in use. Coarse grit removes material such as welds on metal or mill marks on wood, while fine grit buffs out tool marks and evens out edges.

3%OXO's Food Mill includes three discs for various textures. Non-Slip legs secure it over bowls and pots. A soft handle makes for easy operation. Whether you're preparing hot or cold foods, the stainless steel inner bowl helps preserve temperature and won't stain. Includes three grinding discs for fine, medium and coarse textures.

The disc mill is designed to size-reduce whole corn kernels. The disc mill consists of 12 diameter stator (stationary) disc and a 12 diameter rotor (revolving disc). The gap between the stator and rotor is adjustable. The gap width determines the size of the corn particles produced from the

A DISC MILL FOR ANY CHALLENGE. 3. Cut-off/sawing: Thin width cutters make excellent tools for cutting-off . or sawing. Using an indexable disc milling cutters saves time and money over traditional saws.
